"Better late than never"

Finally
At the last moment
This week
To post a cinquain
Because I need the grade

Cinquain

Walking
Now
On my own
Five more minutes
Delayed no longer
When I find myself on time

A cinquain that is mine

Unnerving

Quite
At night
A small fright
To cause a fight
Although I've no spite

*I am not sure about the adverb "quite" here as it is modifying a preposition (but I used it anyways because poetry often bends/breaks the rules of grammar). Suggestions on anything would be much appreciated.

Jumping

Vertically
in my backyard
Every day I go higher
to someday reach the planets and stars
I am yearning and reaching toward the sky.

My Cinquain

I chose to write a cinquain using the "sleeping" title. I hope it makes sense and is written correctly. I placed the number of syllables that I counted in each line in parantheses. If you find anything wrong with my cinquain or have any suggestions let me know!!

Sleeping

in my bed (3)
every single night (5-6: depending on how you pronounce "every")
to rest my aching body (7)
while my mind wanders through a land of dreams (10)

calmly

short quick visions
to soothe my stressed heart
until my life's storm ends
